Production Day 4

Frame Grabs Production days 1-4

Characters

Nixon, Linda Mar, and Hypothermia

EXT. LINDA MAR BEACH - DUSK
Jared and Nix sit on the sand just above the waterline. Clad in 4/3 wetsuits, they leash their body boards to their ankles. Heavy clouds hide the sun and the wind starts to pick up.

Nix:
I dunno, what do you think?

Jared takes a look around. They are the only ones on the beach with nobody in the water.

Jared:
Where is everyone?

Nix (laughing):
Yeah, I know dude. Fuck it. Let's go.

Jared:
Let's do it.

Nix and Jared take off sprinting into the white wash. Nix dives in first skimming for a few feet on his board and then submerging himself in the cold water. He surfaces.

Nix:
OH FUCK!! IT'S COLD!!

Jared follows suit and dives into the white wash.

Jared:
OH SHIT!!!

The guys do their best to catch waves amidst the choppy closed out conditions.

Nix, pulls a drop knee while a wave closes out on him.

The wind picks up while there is a lull between sets. The guys float just beyond the break.

Suddenly the wind stops and birds begin to circle.

The guys look at each other.

Nix:
What the hell is that?

A seal pops it's head up 20 feet from them.

Jared:
Oh shit! Fuck...it's just a seal. Fuck! Fucker!

Nix laughs and suddenly stops.

Nix:
Fuck man, I guess we should bounce cause where there are seals there are -

Jared:
Sharks.

The guys pause for a moment. Then paddle as fast as they can for the shore.

Exiting the water the guys laugh.

Jared:
Fucking seals.

-Fade Out-

EXT. SUPER SECRET LOCATION - DAY
Dusty and out of breath Jared and Rajiv finally reach a sloped clearing overlooking Los Angeles.
The guys pause for a moment to catch their breath while taking in the view. Jared powers the camera up, fiddles with the settings and hands it to Rajiv.

Rajiv:
This works. OK, sit down there. Move a little to the left.

Rajiv moves back as the frames Jared through the viewfinder.

Jared moves to his mark and sets.

Fire ants crawl into Jared's Jeans. He is sitting on their humble home.

Rajiv:
Dude, this looks great man!

Jared:
Oh, yeah. What does -

Suddenly, Jared springs up and bats his legs with his hands wildly.

Jared:
What the FUCK!!

Jared pulls his pant leg up to reveal FIRE ANTS biting his friggin leg.

Jared:
Fucking ANTS!!!

Rajiv crosses over to Jared and helps bat the BIG FRICKIN ANTS from his clothing.

With the ants removed, Jared moves up the hill and away from their humble abode.

Jared:
Lemme see.

Rajiv passes the camera to Jared for playback.

Jared peers into the camera's flip out LCD screen.

Jared:
Damn! That looks great!!

Rajiv and Jared bump fists.
